    Application
    Construction Method

    Method: Airless spraying

    Nozzle pressure: 14 MPa – 21 MPa

Nozzle hole diameter: 0.6 mm – 0.8 mm

If applying by brush or roller, additional coats will be required to achieve the specified dry film thickness. Spray data is for reference only and may be adjusted. Pressure is applicable at a material temperature of 20°C [68°F]. Brush and roller application is only suitable for line marking and small repair areas.

    Construction Conditions

During application and curing, the substrate surface temperature must be above 5°C [41°F].

To avoid condensation, the substrate temperature during application must be at least 3°C [5°F] above the dew point, clean and dry.

Relative humidity: The relative humidity during construction and curing must be less than 85%.

    Surface Treatment

Remove oil, grease and other contaminants with a suitable cleaning agent.

High-pressure water cleaning removes salt, detergents and other contaminants.

Surface blasted to Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1) / SP 10 (SSPC).

Small areas can be cleaned by hand or with power tools as an alternative to sandblasting.

Flash rust should not exceed FR L (ISO 8501-4).

The substrate surface should be Medium (G) (ISO 8503-2).

    Frequently Asked Questions
Q1 What makes this paint suitable for marine environments?
This paint features excellent corrosion resistance to seawater and provides cathodic protection, making it an ideal anti-corrosion primer for both new shipbuilding and old ship maintenance applications.
Q2 Can this paint be applied in cold or humid conditions?
Yes. This paint is designed to be applied at low temperatures (substrate surface must be above 5°C [41°F]) and can cure in humid environments, provided the relative humidity remains below 85% during application and curing.
Q3 What is the recommended application method?
Airless spraying is the recommended method, using a nozzle pressure of 14–21 MPa and a nozzle hole diameter of 0.6–0.8 mm. Brush or roller application is also possible but only suitable for line marking and small repair areas, requiring additional coats to achieve the specified dry film thickness.
Q4 What surface preparation is required before applying the paint?
The surface should be cleaned with a suitable agent to remove oil, grease, salt, and other contaminants. Blasting to Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1) / SP 10 (SSPC) is required. For small areas, hand or power tool cleaning is an acceptable alternative. Flash rust must not exceed FR L (ISO 8501-4), and the profile should be Medium (G) (ISO 8503-2).
Q5 What is the mixing ratio and pot life of this product?
The mixing ratio is Base : Hardener at 2.5 : 1 by volume. The pot life varies with temperature — 12 hours at 10°C, 8 hours at 20°C, and 6 hours at 30°C. Mixed material must be used within the pot life period.
Q6 What is the shelf life and storage requirement for this paint?
This paint has a storage period of 24 months when stored at 25°C. It is recommended to store the product under appropriate conditions to maintain its quality and performance throughout the stated shelf life.
