EP40111 Epoxy Ballast Tank Anti-Corrosion Paint (Solvent-Based)
Product Features
Excellent corrosion resistance, capable of resisting the erosion of harsh marine environments such as seawater, salt spray, and humidity for a long time
Excellent adhesion, with extremely strong adhesion to steel plates after sandblasting treatment (such as Sa2.5 grade).
It has good resistance to cathodic disbonding, is compatible with ship cathodic protection systems, and is less prone to blistering or spalling due to electrochemical effects
High-solids, low-VOC (for some products), although solvent-based, the formula tends to be high-solids to reduce volatile organic compound emissions
It is wear-resistant and impact-resistant, and can withstand water flow scouring and mechanical stress during the loading/unloading process
Recommended Use
Used for internal corrosion protection of conventional ship ballast tanks, it offers excellent cost-performance ratio.

Application
Construction method:
Airless spraying
Nozzle pressure: 14 MPa -21 MPa
Nozzle hole diameter: 0.6mm-0.8mm.
If spraying work is terminated, the spraying equipment should be cleaned immediately to prevent paint from remaining in the hose, spray gun or spraying equipment, thereby avoiding the solidification of residual paint inside the spraying equipment.
Surface treatment and construction conditions:
Remove oil, grease and other contaminants with a suitable cleaning agent..
High-pressure water cleaning removes salt, detergents and other contaminants.
Repair and maintenance surface treatment to P3 (ISO 8501-3)
Remove dust, sand and loose materials
Surface condition (G) (ISO 8503-2).
During construction and curing, the surface temperature of the substrate must
To avoid condensation, the substrate temperature during construction should be at least 3 ° C [5 ° F] higher than the dew point
During construction, the product temperature must be above 15 ° C [59 ° F]
The relative humidity during construction and curing processes must be less than 85%.
