Application
Construction Method
Airless spraying
Nozzle pressure: 14 MPa – 21 MPa
Nozzle hole diameter: 0.6mm – 0.8mm
If applying by brush or roller, additional coats will be required to achieve the specified dry film thickness. Spray data is for reference only and may be adjusted. Pressure is applicable at a material temperature of 20°C [68°F]. Brush and roller application is only suitable for line marking and small repair areas.
Construction Conditions
During application and curing, the substrate surface temperature must be above 5°C [41°F].
To avoid condensation, the substrate temperature during application must be at least 3°C [5°F] above the dew point, clean and dry.
Relative humidity: The relative humidity during the construction and curing process must be less than 85%.
Surface Treatment
Remove oil, grease and other contaminants with a suitable cleaning agent.
High-pressure water cleaning removes salt, detergents and other contaminants.
Surface blasted to Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1) / SP 10 (SSPC).
Small areas can be cleaned by hand or with power tools as an alternative to sandblasting.
Flash rust should not exceed FR L (ISO 8501-4).
The substrate surface should be Medium (G) (ISO 8503-2).

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q What makes this epoxy paint suitable for marine anti-corrosion use?
A This paint offers excellent corrosion resistance to seawater, provides cathodic protection, and is capable of curing in humid environments — making it highly effective for both new shipbuilding and old ship maintenance applications.
Q What is the recommended application method and equipment setup?
A Airless spraying is recommended with a nozzle pressure of 14–21 MPa and a nozzle hole diameter of 0.6–0.8mm at a material temperature of 20°C [68°F]. Brush or roller may be used for small repair areas or line marking but will require additional coats.
Q What surface preparation standard is required before application?
A The surface should be blast-cleaned to Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1) / SP 10 (SSPC). Flash rust should not exceed FR L (ISO 8501-4), and the surface profile should be Medium (G) per ISO 8503-2. All oil, grease, salt, and contaminants must be removed beforehand.
Q What are the temperature and humidity requirements during application and curing?
A The substrate temperature must be above 5°C [41°F] and at least 3°C [5°F] above the dew point to prevent condensation. Relative humidity during application and curing must remain below 85%.
Q What is the pot life and mixing ratio of this product?
A The mixing ratio is Base : Hardener at 2.5:1 by volume. The pot life varies with temperature — 12 hours at 10°C, 8 hours at 20°C, and 6 hours at 30°C. Mixed material should be used within these timeframes to ensure proper curing.
Q How long can this product be stored and under what conditions?
A The storage period is 24 months when stored at 25°C. It is recommended to keep the product in a cool, dry environment and away from direct sunlight to maintain its effectiveness throughout the storage period.
