China Factory Suppliers of EP40111 Epoxy Ballast Tank Anti-Corrosion Paint - Superior Seawater Resistance
Product Features
Marine & Corrosion Resistance
This coating features outstanding resistance to seawater and dry-wet cyclic alternation; excellent cathodic disbondment resistance (essential for marine vessels); resistance to oil contamination and trace chemicals; long-term barrier anti-rust performance; stable performance under alternating temperature conditions.
Mechanical & Physical Properties
Adapted to impact and water erosion on ships: Exceptionally strong adhesion; high toughness coupled with superior abrasion and impact resistance; favorable forming performance for thick-film application; low porosity and high density.
Application Adaptability
On-site advantages for shipyards: Long working window and tolerance to humid substrates; moderate pot life for mass spraying; better substrate tolerance than solvent-free coatings; easy operation for repair and stripe coating; light-colored finish for convenient inspection.
System Compatibility
Compatibility with supporting coating systems: Complete standard matching coating system (mandatory per PSPC); compatible with cathodic protection systems.
Recommended Use

Frequently Asked Questions
The coating is primarily formulated for seawater ballast tanks, double side ballast void tanks of bulk carriers, enclosed marine tanks, offshore freshwater and seawater circulation tanks, as well as overhaul and in-service vessel maintenance.
The reference dry film thickness is 100 μm per coat, which yields a theoretical coating rate of approximately 6.2 ㎡/L based on a solid volume percentage of 62±2%.
For airless spraying at 20°C (68°F), nozzle pressure should be set between 14 MPa and 21 MPa, utilizing a nozzle orifice diameter of 0.6mm to 0.8mm.
Brushing and rolling should strictly be confined to stripe marking and localized small-area repairs. Additional coats will be necessary to achieve the specified film thickness when utilizing these methods.
Substrate temperature must be above 10°C (50°F) and at least 3°C (5°F) above the dew point. Paint material temperature should stay above 15°C (59°F), and ambient relative humidity must remain below 85%.
The base to hardener mixing ratio is 4:1 by weight with a pot life of 4 hours at 25°C. At this temperature, the minimum recoating interval is 24 hours, and the maximum interval is 10 days.
