EP10104 Thick coated epoxy zinc rich anti-corrosion primer
Product Features
1、Core conductive and anti-static properties (major difference from carbon-based products): Carbon-free fillers eliminate oil contamination risks; electrical resistivity remains stable long-term without drift; no risk of micro-galvanic cell corrosion; light color offers great flexibility for color matching.
2、Anti-corrosion and medium resistance performance (core primer anti-rust function): The epoxy matrix provides excellent rust prevention and barrier protection; outstanding oil resistance; resistant to water, salt spray and mild acids & alkalis; wide service temperature range; interlayer barrier blocks corrosive medium penetration.
3、Physical and mechanical film properties: Excellent adhesion; high hardness, abrasion resistance and impact resistance; capable of high-build coating formation; dense coating film with low porosity.
Recommended Use
1、Top choice for inner lining of light refined oil storage tanks, including tanks for aviation kerosene, gasoline, diesel and naphtha.
2、Primer coating for the inner surface of cargo oil tanks on oil tankers and inland waterway vessels, including cargo holds of product tankers and oil barge compartments.
3、Inner lining for petrochemical steel oil pipelines and tank trucks, including refined oil transmission pipelines, gasoline and diesel tank lorries, and railway oil tank wagons.
4、Anti-static equipment and enclosed oil pump rooms within plant areas, such as oil pump bases, oil blending reactors, and inner linings of enclosed light oil storage equipment.
5、Buried and semi-underground atmospheric oil storage tanks, such as underground refined oil tanks.
6、Renovation and reconstruction of aged oil tanks (for applications with strict oil cleanliness requirements).

Application
Construction method:
Airless spraying
Nozzle pressure: 14MPa-21MPa
Nozzle hole diameter: 0.6mm-0.8mm
When applying by brush or roller, additional coats are required to achieve the specified dry film thickness. All spray parameters are for reference only and subject to adjustment. The listed operating pressures apply to material at a temperature of 20°C (68°F).
Surface treatment and construction conditions:
Remove oil, grease and other contaminants with a suitable cleaning agent.
High-pressure water cleaning removes salt, detergents and other contaminants..
Surface blasted to Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1) / SP 10 (SSPC).
Remove dust, sand and loose materials.
Surface condition (G) (ISO 8503-2).
To avoid condensation, apply the coating onto clean and dry surfaces whose temperature is at least 3°C (5°F) above the dew point.
The surface temperature shall be maintained above -10°C (14°F) during coating application and curing.
The relative humidity shall be kept below 85% during application and curing.
