EP40111 Epoxy ballast tank anti corrosion paint
Product Features
1,This coating features outstanding resistance to seawater and dry-wet cyclic alternation; excellent cathodic disbondment resistance (essential for marine vessels); resistance to oil contamination and trace chemicals; long-term barrier anti-rust performance; stable performance under alternating temperature conditions.
2,Mechanical and physical properties (Adapted to impact and water erosion on Ships): Exceptionally strong adhesion; high toughness coupled with superior abrasion and impact resistance; favorable forming performance for thick-film application; low porosity and high density.
3,Application adaptability features (On-site advantages for shipyards): Long working window and tolerance to humid substrates; moderate pot life for mass spraying; better substrate tolerance than solvent-free coatings; easy operation for repair and stripe coating; light-colored finish for convenient inspection.
4, Compatibility with supporting coating systems: Complete standard matching coating system (mandatory per PSPC); compatible with cathodic protection systems.
Recommended Use
1,Marine compliant seawater ballast tanks (Top priority): Specially formulated for seawater ballast tanks.
2,Double side ballast void tanks of bulk carriers.
3,Enclosed marine tanks and compartments for vessel supporting systems.
4,Enclosed fresh water storage tanks and seawater circulation tanks for offshore platforms.
5,Vessel maintenance & in-Service temporary repair (Advantages over solvent-free coatings).
6,Overhaul projects for aged domestic vessels.

Application
Construction method:
Airless spraying
Nozzle pressure 14 MPa -21 MPa
Nozzle hole diameter 0.6mm-0.8mm
When applied by brush or roller, additional coats are required to achieve the specified dry film thickness. All spray data is for reference only and subject to adjustment. The listed pressures apply to material at 20°C (68°F). For tank lining applications, brushing and rolling shall only be used for stripe marking and small-area repair zones.
Surface treatment and construction conditions:
1, Remove oil, grease and other contaminants with a suitable cleaning agent.
2, High-pressure water cleaning removes salt, detergents and other contaminants.
3, Maintenance surface preparation P3 (ISO 8501-3).
4, Remove dust, sand and loose materials.
5, Surface condition (G) (ISO 8503-2).
6, The substrate surface temperature shall be above 10°C (50°F) during application and curing.
7, To prevent condensation, the substrate temperature shall be at least 3°C (5°F) above the dew point during application.
8, The product temperature shall be maintained above 15°C (59°F) during application.
9, Relative humidity shall be kept below 85% during application and curing.
